The world is currently experiencing the worst refugee crisis of all time. Over 3.8 million syrians have been displaced because of the ongoing conflicts in their home country. They have fled to neighboring countries such as Turkey (2.6 million refugees), Lebanon (1.06 million refugees) and Jordan (600k refugees). These countries have such a massive influx of people, that their economy and government are having a hard time coping with the masses which is one of the reasons the route to Western European countries has been closed. For those fortunate to get out of their country and start a new life, the latter is not always easy. Finding work as a refugee is extremely difficult, and for many the wages are so drastically low that they cannot fully support their family’s needs. Most of the refugees are also women and children, which puts an even larger layer of stress and discrimination when it comes to finding a job.

The refugees need a better support system; leaving your home with nothing but the clothes on you back is hard, but starting your life completely over in a new country with nothing is something none of us could ever imagine.
