Describe—in some detail—your contributions to the video project. What, specifically, did you do to contribute to the work of making this video. How do you feel about your contributions?
For this video project, our group all worked really well together and contributed equal amount of time and energy towards the video. We met weekly and worked on each bit of the video together. One specific thing I did to help was type out the transcript of the entire video to make creating the subtitles easier.
What about the video most pleases and displeases you?
In my opinion, there are many great things in our video. I enjoy the inspirational music in the beginning and the end, creating a more uplifting story rather than a sad one. I also really like the flow of our story line; it makes sense and is thorough. We end on a positive and uplifting note with Clements message to the viewers. One thing that displeases me is the subtitles. I completely understand the need for them, however I just wish there was a cleaner or better way to put them on the screen. I feel as if when people watch the video they become distracting and you don’t end up watching the emotions on Clements face or his hand gestures.
Given what you now know, if you had the opportunity to do this project again, what would you do differently?
If given the opportunity to do the project again, I would only change a few things. One is that we have more time to do the project in class, and maybe on those days we could try to get into a Mac Lab. Also, I think that we should have had more mandatory research regarding the cultures of each refugee. In the end however, this project went very smoothly and I’m excited to see the final products from all groups!
